The LPGA Play Championship series is the largest woman's amateur golf tournament in the world. In 2018, it all started at McGregor Links on July 14 with the Capital Region Chapter Championship.
Chapter members of all skill levels have the opportunity to compete against other members who share the same playing ability. Whether you are a seasoned golfer or new to the game, the LPGA Amateurs Championship series provides a venue to experience competitive golf among friends and in the spirit of fun.

Stroke Play – Competitors play in one of five flights based on their handicap. First place low gross and first place low net winners in each of the flights will qualify to advance to the next stage of the competion. Recognition awards are give for the low gross and low net Senior players (55-69) and for the low gross and low net Super Senior players (70 and over). Scramble Teams – Team handicap factor is based on the handicaps of all four players. Winners based on net team scores. Two scramble teams with the lowest net scores will be eligible to advance to Semi-Finals. You must be a female LPGA Play member who holds a GHIN or GN21 handicap (with at least two 18-hole-equivalent scores posted during 2018). Handicap cutoff date is July 1. Need a handicap? Click here for Handicap Central.

LPGA Play Championship Stages and 2018 Schedule
McGregor Links is offering one practice round to golfers registered for the Chapter Championship for $60 with cart, $40 walking. Contact Head Professional Bob VanAuken, PGA, the McGregor Pro Shop, 518-584-6664, to schedule a tee time at least one week before the July 14 event.
